Cabling specialist sets high standards in the field of occupational safety
Augsburg, November 16, 2021 – Rosenberger Optical Solutions & Infrastructure (Rosenberger OSI), an expert in fiber optic connections, cabling solutions and infrastructure services, announces that its internal occupational health and safety management system (ASMS) has been certified according to OHRIS after passing an audit. The award for a safe working environment is a further step in the company’s digitalization offensive launched in 2021 and also focuses on employee trust and motivation. “By receiving the certificate, we are underlining a better working culture for our employees. OHRIS gives them an overview of the safety precautions in the company and how they are protected from potential sources of danger in their daily work,” explains Thomas Schmidt, Managing Director of Rosenberger OSI.
OHRIS (Occupational Health and Risk Management System) is a recognized management system for occupational health and safety, promotion of health at work and the safety of technical equipment. It was developed in cooperation with the industry to further improve occupational health and safety in companies and to make it more economical. OHRIS can be introduced in all companies regardless of their size.
The audit, which took place on October 4, 2021, took into account a wide variety of topics at Rosenberger OSI, such as the declared goals and measures for occupational safety and plant safety, risk assessments, protective clothing, and important training measures for employees. After inspection of all areas, the trade supervisory office confirmed that all areas comply with the stated requirements, specifications and guidelines. The certificate was handed over at Rosenberger OSI’s headquarters in Augsburg on November 8. “The renewed receipt of a certificate, which at the same time distinguishes our work systems and has a positive influence on our employees, makes us very happy. We will continue to work on improving our working environments sustainably and continuously in order to eliminate accidents or potential sources of danger in advance in the future,” concluded the managing director.
